What Exactly is a Personal Injury Case?

Writing Notes
|

A personal injury case is a civil case involving a “plaintiff,” who has been injured and is seeking compensation for their injuries, and a “defendant,” who is alleged to have caused said injuries. A plaintiff will sue the defendant in the appropriate jurisdiction, to recover “damages,” or financial compensation for their injuries to cover medical bills, property damage bills, pain and suffering, and any other costs associated with the injury.

There are many kinds of personal injury cases. Among them are car accident cases, slip and fall cases, product liability cases, and workplace accidents. If you are unsure if your case falls under the umbrella of personal injury, contact us at KI PI. We have a dedicated team of personal injury lawyers ready to help you navigate your claims and cases.
